tough to break in.

Just got one for my 686+, I have two bags and 2 pieces of cardboard in with the gun. I'm going to let it sit like this over night and check the fit. Updates to follow.

I wrapped a 1911 of mine in two plastic bags and left it in there for a week. Tighter than dicks hat band still. The one I have for my 686+ with the new front sight is just a range holster. The front sight hangs up on the draw.

The instructions said 15 minutes. Haha. The videos I've watched have been 24 hrs. Thanks for letting me know it may take a week. I did as 1791 said and twisted the gun back and forth as I pushed it in and out. I'm gonna check it tomorrow and keep working it. I want a good holster for when I'm in NY since this is the only gun I have on file up there.

I have a holster from 1791 for my Ruger SP101 and I love it. Best I remember, I put the gun in shopping bag and put it in the holster overnight or for 24 hrs. I don't remember, it's been 2 yrs since i did it. But it worked. I plan on getting one for my XD9.

Not made in the USA
Their website seems to imply they are without coming right out and saying it.
But this story from 2018 in Guns America says they are. Are they wrong?

I have no idea, but if they aren't they need to be called out for trying to ride the America Made train.

I stopped by their booth during the show and got some more information about the company. 1791 Gunleather has been making holsters and leather products for the past 2 years. Their products are 100% American made, featuring Certified American Heavy Native Steerhide.

Just thought I would update with a couple pics and video. The gun conceals pretty well. The holster is still a little stiff at the draw, but it does not hang up. I would say its a keeper.
