Sold/Expired 1997 Toyota RAV4 AWD/4wd

Bad as I hate to, I'm selling my RAV4. I just needed a pickup truck. I've owned it about 15 years. Has all the bells and whistles: a/c, power doors and windows, cruise, push button AWD, etc. 5 speed. Runs great. All new belts approximately 20,000 miles ago. HAS A BAD OIL LEAK. I never seriously had it looked at. I just put oil in it. I just haven't drove it enough the last few years to get serious about getting it fixed. Everything works. I'd drive it to California...but, I'd have to stop and put some oil in periodically. LOL. It has minor dings and scratches. Interior is great. Original floor mats. It'd make a great hunting vehicle. I've hauled more than a few out on a hitch and haul. It's in the Spring City area. 206,550 miles. Haven't checked it in several years, but it got about 25 mph on highway. $2500 obo. Oh .. Harley license plate is not included.

Any idea where the oil is leaking from? Might be a simple fix.

I drive old 5.9 Cummins Dodges. I'm used to adding a little oil. They don't leak…they just mark their territory.

Asked a mechanic who was putting belts on it. He talked like it would be a pretty good job to fix it.

Usually in those vehicles, it's the rear main bearing seal.
They gotta drop the transmission to replace it.
$500-1000 average cost.
